What this tool does
This tool converts Microsoft Word .docx documents to PDF directly in your browser. It parses your document, lays out the text with real font metrics using a WebAssembly layout engine, shows a page-by-page preview, and lets you download the result as a PDF with the font embedded.
The layout engine is the same engine that powers this site's document pipeline: paragraphs, alignment, indentation, spacing, bold/italic text, multi-page pagination, and Unicode content (including CJK and emoji) are all handled locally on your device.
How to convert DOCX to PDF
- 1
Select or drag & drop your .docx file — it never leaves your device.
- 2
Wait a moment while the document is parsed and laid out locally.
- 3
Check the page preview and any warnings about unsupported features.
- 4
Click "Download PDF" to save the converted file.
Privacy
Your document is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our server. There is no account, no database, and no server-side conversion — the page works entirely offline once loaded.

Frequently asked questions
Does it upload my document?
No. Processing happens locally in your browser. The file is never sent to our server.
Does it support tables?
Yes — basic tables with rows, columns, borders, cell backgrounds and multi-line cells. Advanced features like merged or nested cells are skipped with a warning.
Does it support images?
Yes — inline images (PNG, JPEG and GIF) embedded via the standard Word image mechanism are laid out and exported. Floating images with text wrapping are not supported yet.
Which fonts are used for the PDF?
The document is laid out and rendered with the built-in Noto Sans font, which is embedded into the exported PDF. If your document requests a different font, the substitution is shown in the warnings panel.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on the number of conversions.
Why does the result look different from Microsoft Word?
The conversion uses an independent layout engine, not Word itself. Paragraph formatting, spacing and pagination are reproduced faithfully, but complex features such as tables and images are skipped — anything skipped is reported as a warning.
