What is a QR Code Generator?
A QR code generator is an online tool that creates Quick Response (QR) codes from text, URLs, or other data. QR codes are two-dimensional barcodes that can be scanned by smartphones and QR readers to instantly access encoded information. Our free QR code generator offers high-error-correction level H, ensuring your QR codes remain scannable even when partially damaged. Whether you need to share a website link, contact information, or any text, our tool makes it easy to create QR codes in seconds — all processing happens directly in your browser for maximum privacy.

FAQ
Can I scan QR codes with this tool?
This page focuses on generating QR codes. For scanning/decoding QR codes from images, please visit our QR Code Decoder page. Both tools work entirely in your browser with no server uploads.
What is the error correction level used?
This generator lets you choose the error correction level in the Customize panel. The default is H (High), which allows up to 30% of the QR code to be damaged or obscured while still remaining scannable — ideal for printed QR codes that may get scratched or partially covered.
Is my data safe when generating QR codes?
Absolutely. All QR code generation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No text, URLs, or any data you enter is ever sent to our server or stored anywhere. Your privacy is fully protected.
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
A static QR code stores your content directly in the pattern — the link or text is fixed forever. This tool generates static QR codes. A dynamic QR code instead encodes a short URL that redirects to your content, so the destination can be changed later and scans can be tracked. Dynamic codes require a service; static codes work forever for free.
Can I add a logo to my QR code?
This tool does not overlay logos. If you need a logo in the center, generate the code at the highest error correction level (H — the default here) and place a small logo manually with a graphics editor, keeping it modest so scanning stays reliable. The same high error correction is why colored QR codes remain scannable.
Which QR code error correction level should I use?
Error correction levels L, M, Q and H let a code survive roughly 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% damage respectively. H is the default on this page and the safest choice for printed codes or codes with custom colors. Lower levels produce denser patterns and are only worth it when very long content must fit into a small code.
